The Date That Fell Through.

I would like to tell you an experience that I have had.On handicap-dating.co.ukI got into contact with a man called George. He was a single parent like I.He sounded like a good date. When we wrote on the site, I felt that we had a lot of common ideas about life and it`s challenges. We shared alot of common attitudes to parenting. We also had many common hobbies. We just had lots to speak about.

We wrote to eachother over a couple of months. Both of us felt that we should just take it easy.We were not in a rush.Every day I looked forward to seeing my daughter fall soundly asleep, and afterwards I would log on to speak to George.

Then we decided to make the next move.We were to meet at an interesting restaurant and have an enjoyable evening.I was looking forward to our first meeting out in ”reality”.I spent some money shining myself up for the event, like going to the hairdressers, buying some new clothes, having my nails done.I don`t often do that, but ”the night” was coming closer.

We met outside the restaurant with hugs and hi`s. The setting was perfect.George had brought a small gift for me;some beautiful porcelain earrings.I was touched that he had thought of making me happy by bringing a gift.We were shown to our prebooked table in the restaurant, over in the corner of the room.It was just a beautiful setting. We ordered some deicious food, and drank some great wine.

When we were enjoying the main course, I noticed that George was looking kind of hot.He was fumbling his fingers over his shirt collar, and was dampening his forehead with  a tissue. He drank alot of water. Then he suddenly became really pale, and I then asked him whether he was ok.He got up and said ”please excuse me”,and he then dashed for the washrooms with his napkin in front of his mouth.

When he came back after a little while,he really looked uncomfortable. The guy had bought all the food. There was nothing that could be done.I ordered a taxi home, and paid the restaurant bill. When the taxi arrived,I got him into it..and asked him whether I should join him.He didn`t want that, but said that he really would love us to spend another evening together, when he was feeling better.

I went home to my own place, and opened a bottle of good wine, poured a glass and placed myself on my sofa.Suddenly I started to laugh at the happenings of our hilarious first date.It was great until George became ill.I was in no doubt that I would like to date him again,so I quickly wrote to him and wished him a speedy recovery

That we met again showed it`s results later. My stomach is bulging from our first child to be.We now live together, and sometimes speak about our first infamous evening. That`s going to be good speech material at our wedding.

Love From Lorna
